FERRY TRIP
Here is a speech that Rachel and Chanelle made at the Ward Sub Committee to the councillors and members of the public:-
".....All the young women from maypole would like to thankyou for the money you gave us for the trip to Liverpool. We had a great time visiting different places like Albert dock,Beatles story, ferry across the Mersey. Also it was brilliant experiencing new foods and new places.It was difficult and a bit scary handling things by myself without my mom. We was all shocked about what we learned about slavery. It was quite upsetting but we now understand more about racism.Take a look at the photo`s and see how much fun that we had .Once again thankyou. From all the girls from Maypole centre ..."
